ABOUT STEFANIE’S YOGA PRACTICE
Given the mental and physical demands of being a dancer, Stefanie started practicing Yoga twelve years ago to balance the high demands as a professional dancer. Through the practice of Yoga she finds balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Stefanie gains knowledge about herself and growth through her regular Asana (physical) practice as well as her meditation practice, recitation of mantras and various cleansing practices. Stefanie uses anything that comes up in her physical practice such as physical limitations, pains and injuries as well as emotions to learn about herself and to enter the deeper levels of her being. She believes that the physical body is acting as a mirror to what is going on inside.
Stefanie has been practicing Vinyasa Yoga as well as Restorative Yoga for over 12 years. For the past year and a half she has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga through daily Mysore classes.

STEFANIE’S TEACHING
Stefanie emphasizes on teaching Asana and Pranayama as part of the whole concept of Yoga. It is Stefanie’s goal to meet each student where they are and to help them find a practice that is suitable for the individual rather than placing general expectations on students. She reaches this goal by really getting to know each student and establishing a personal relationship. Hands on adjustments and use of modifications are part of reaching this goal as well. Non-competitiveness, letting go of ones own expectations and ego is essential in her teaching.
She enjoys sharing her knowledge with a great sense of humor and positive energy.
