located in the city of Atlanta. She graduated as 200 hour instructor in July 2013.

around the Atlanta area working closely with youth camps and non profit organizations.
“I believe that yoga is an incredible gift. I am inspired by my students and teachers
every day.” Marr-Teen has plans to continue her training through Kashi and expanding
her experience and knowledge while continuing to service the community through her
practice. is a certified Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and an accomplished professional performing Dance Artist. She is currently a full company member of the nationally and internationally touring company CORE Performance Company in her 4th season. Originally from Germany, she moved to Atlanta, GA in 2009 and started performing with gloATL and TLang Dance. For more than 12 years she has been an avid practitioner and student of Yoga. Stefanie has over 7 years experience in teaching Yoga and Dance to adults of all levels and abilities, seniors, children and teenagers in the U.S. and Germany. She has gained great expertise in working with teenagers in yoga and dance as well as working with pre-professional and professional athletes using Yoga to prevent and heal injury, promote recovery and reduce stress.

Given the mental and physical demands of being a dancer, Stefanie started practicing Yoga twelve years ago to balance the high demands as a professional dancer. Through the practice of Yoga she finds balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Stefanie gains knowledge about herself and growth through her regular Asana (physical) practice as well as her meditation practice, recitation of mantras and various cleansing practices. Stefanie uses anything that comes up in her physical practice such as physical limitations, pains and injuries as well as emotions to learn about herself and to enter the deeper levels of her being. She believes that the physical body is acting as a mirror to what is going on inside.
Stefanie has been practicing Vinyasa Yoga as well as Restorative Yoga for over 12 years. For the past year and a half she has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga through daily Mysore classes.

Stefanie emphasizes on teaching Asana and Pranayama as part of the whole concept of Yoga. It is Stefanie’s goal to meet each student where they are and to help them find a practice that is suitable for the individual rather than placing general expectations on students. She reaches this goal by really getting to know each student and establishing a personal relationship. Hands on adjustments and use of modifications are part of reaching this goal as well. Non-competitiveness, letting go of ones own expectations and ego is essential in her teaching.
She enjoys sharing her knowledge with a great sense of humor and positive energy.

Stefanie holds a BFA in Dance and Dance Education from the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich, Germany. She completed her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Germany in 2008 and her second Registered Yoga Teacher Training at Laughing Lotus in New York City in 2011. Stefanie also holds a BA in Business Administration, Management and Marketing from LDT Nagold in Germany.
Stefanie has training in Tai Chi, Gyrokinesis and Mind Body Centering, which, along with her Dance training, help to enrich her understanding and teaching of Yoga. She is currently pursuing her path to become a Reiki Master which will allow her even more opportunity to address the needs er students. of her clients.
